Workspace Manager

Workspace Manager is the admin app for creating, configuring and operating JCR workspaces — startup behavior, engine enablement (BPM / EIP), and start / stop / restart / delete.

Admin only (adminOnly) / singleton.

Opening it

Open Workspace Manager from the menu.

Layout

  • Sidebar (left) — the list of workspaces (searchable), with state badges (Running / Starting / Stopped / Failed), a Current badge and a System badge
  • Details (right) — General / Engines / Actions

Key tasks

Create a workspace

From New Workspace, enter a name and create. The name appears in URLs and cannot be changed later (lowercase letters, digits, hyphens and underscores, starting with a letter).

Configure it

Set the display name and auto-start in General, enable/disable BPM (process engine) and EIP (integration engine) in Engines, then Save.

Engine changes take effect after the workspace is restarted.

Start / stop / restart

Use Actions to start, stop or restart. A progress overlay is shown while the operation runs.

Delete

You can delete a workspace you no longer need (with confirmation). Everything stored in it is permanently deleted and cannot be undone. The system workspace cannot be deleted.

Tips

  • The system workspace is the identity store (users / groups / roles) and is treated specially.
  • When a workspace is "Failed", the details panel shows the error message.
